Products & Materials

What we make and what it is made of.

What does Canvas4Seasons actually sell?

Four things, all made from a photograph you send us: museum-quality canvas prints, personalised wooden jigsaw puzzles, custom diamond painting kits, and hand-painted digital portraits delivered by email. You can see everything in the shop.

What are the canvas prints made from?

A cotton-poly blend canvas with a matte, UV-protective coating, printed with pigment inks and stretched by hand over a solid wood frame. The edges are finished cleanly and a hanging kit is fitted, so it is ready for the wall the moment you open the box.

Will the print fade?

Not quickly. Pigment inks and a UV-protective coating are what give canvas prints their longevity — expect decades of stable colour indoors. What shortens that is direct sunlight for hours a day, and damp. Hang it out of a sunbeam and away from a bathroom and it will outlast the sofa.

What are the wooden puzzles made of?

Your photo is printed directly onto a wood panel and laser-cut into interlocking pieces, so you are handling wood rather than cardboard — it feels substantially heavier and the pieces do not bend or fray. Sizes run from 35 pieces up to 1,500, and you can add a black, white or natural wood frame. See the wooden puzzle page.

What comes in a diamond painting kit?

Everything you need: the printed adhesive canvas with your image mapped to a colour chart, the resin drills counted and bagged by colour, an applicator pen, wax, a tray and a tweezer. Choose round or square drills and full or partial coverage. See the diamond painting page.

How long does a diamond painting take to complete?

It depends entirely on size and drill count. A small 20 × 20 cm partial-drill canvas is an evening or two. A large full-drill 50 × 80 cm is a genuine project — dozens of hours over several weeks. That is rather the point of them.

Do you sell gift cards?

Not yet. If you want to give someone a piece but want them to choose the photo, order it yourself and write to us — we will hold production until they have sent us the image they want.

Photos & Sizing

Getting the image right is most of the job.

What resolution does my photo need to be?

As a rule of thumb, aim for at least 1,500 pixels on the shorter side for a small print and 3,000 for a large one. A modern phone photo is comfortably enough. A screenshot, a picture saved from social media, or an image someone messaged you is often not — those get compressed heavily on the way.

What if my photo isn't good enough?

We will tell you before we print, not after. A person checks every image for resolution, crop, focus and colour, and if it will not hold up at the size you chose we email you with the options — a smaller size, a tighter crop, or a different photo. Nothing is printed until that is settled.

Can you fix a blurry or dark photo?

We can correct exposure, colour and contrast, and we do that on every order as a matter of course. What we cannot do is add detail that the camera never captured — a genuinely blurry photo prints as a blurry canvas, only larger. If yours is borderline, send it to us before ordering and we will tell you honestly.

Can you remove the background, or take someone out of the picture?

Sometimes, for a small charge, depending on how complex it is. Ask us on the contact page with the photo attached and we will tell you whether it is possible and what it would cost.

Which size should I choose?

Measure the wall space first, then take the largest size that leaves breathing room around it. The most common regret is going too small. For a sofa or a bed, aim for a piece roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. Every product page lists exact dimensions.

Will my photo be cropped?

Possibly, because a photograph's proportions rarely match a canvas exactly. You choose the crop yourself in the configurator and see it before you add to cart. If you want the whole frame kept, pick a size with the same orientation and closest aspect ratio to your original.

Can I use a professional or wedding photo?

Only with the photographer's permission. Professional portraits, school photographs and wedding photography are usually the photographer's copyright even when the subject is you, and by uploading you are confirming you have the right to have it printed. Our terms of service cover this.

Can I send several photos for one piece?

Not through the product pages — each one is built around a single image. Start a chat with the photos and roughly what you have in mind, and we will lay something out with you by hand.

Art Transformations & Portraits

The hand-painted portraits and how they differ.

What is a hand-painted portrait?

An artist paints from your photograph in one of three styles — watercolour pet, texture oil, or memorial — and you receive the finished artwork as a high-resolution digital file by email. It is a painting made from your photo, not a filter applied to it. Start at the custom design page.

How long does a portrait take?

Usually within 12 hours of you submitting the photo. Nothing ships, because the deliverable is a print-ready file rather than a physical item.

Can I print the portrait file myself?

Yes. It arrives print-ready at high resolution, and it is yours — print it at home, at a local shop, or at any lab. Many people order the file and then order a canvas from us separately.

Can I ask for changes to a portrait?

Two rounds of revisions are included. Tell us what you would like different — the background, the colours, an ear that is not quite right — and we will redo it.

Do you do memorial portraits?

Yes, and it is some of the work we take most seriously. Send us the best photograph you have, and tell us anything that matters — a detail to keep, a background to change, someone to add or remove. Where the source photo is old or damaged, say so and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

The portrait email hasn't arrived. What now?

Check your spam folder first — that is where it is nine times out of ten. Then write to us and we will resend it. Nothing is lost.

Ordering, Prices & Vouchers

Payment, codes and changing your mind.

How do I order?

Pick a product, upload your photo, choose the size and any extras, add it to the cart and check out. You verify your email with a six-digit code on the way through, which also creates an account so you can follow the order afterwards.

Do I need an account?

You do not have to create one deliberately. Verifying your email at checkout creates it for you, and from then on you can sign in at any time to see your orders. Signing in never needs a password — we email you a fresh code each time.

Why do I have to verify my email?

Two reasons. It stops fraudulent and mistyped orders, which on a made-to-order product means a piece printed for nobody. And it makes sure your confirmation, your proof and your tracking actually reach you.

What payment methods do you take?

Major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover — plus Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Card details go straight to our payment processor and never touch our servers.

Are the prices in dollars, and do they include shipping?

All prices are in US dollars and include free standard shipping. We ship within the United States only for now, so there is no import duty or customs charge on any order — see the shipping policy.

How do I use a Groupon voucher?

Enter the code where it is asked for during the order. It covers the base product it was sold for; anything on top — a larger size, a frame, a hanging kit, a second item — is charged separately and shown clearly before you pay.

My voucher code isn't working.

Check for a stray space at either end, and that it has not already been redeemed — each code works once. If it still refuses, write to us on the contact page with the code and we will sort it out rather than leaving you stuck.

Do you offer a discount for multiple items?

Yes. Buying more than one item in a single order applies an automatic discount that grows with the number of pieces, and it is shown in the cart before you check out — you do not need a code.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, until it enters production, which is usually within a day. Email us with your order number as soon as you can. Once your photo has been printed onto the canvas we cannot undo it. Full detail in the returns policy.

Shipping & Delivery

When it is made, when it arrives, what it costs.

How much is shipping?

Free, on every order, to any address in the United States, with no minimum spend.

How long will my order take?

Production plus transit. Canvas prints are made in 2–4 business days and puzzles and diamond kits in 3–5, then transit is typically 3–7 business days across the contiguous United States, or 5–10 to Alaska and Hawaii. Full tables are on the shipping policy page.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. We ship within the United States only at the moment, and the checkout will not take an address elsewhere. Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia are next — write to us and we will let you know when your country opens.

How do I track my order?

Use Track My Order with your order number and the email you ordered with — no account needed — or sign in and open your orders. You also get a tracking number by email as soon as the parcel is scanned.

My tracking number isn't showing anything.

That is normal for the first 24 to 48 hours. A number is generated when the label is printed, and it stays blank until the carrier physically scans the parcel into their network. If it has not moved after three business days, write to us.

What is shipping protection?

An optional add-on at checkout covering a parcel lost in transit or stolen after being marked delivered — we remake and reship at no cost. Damage in transit is covered either way. Details on the shipping policy page.

Can I ship to a different address than my own?

Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout, and save it to your account if you send there often. Nothing in the parcel shows the price.

Returns & Problems

When something is not right.

My canvas arrived damaged.

Photograph the item and the outer box, and email us within 14 days with your order number. We remake and reship free, or refund you in full — your choice — and you will not be asked to post the damaged piece back. See the returns policy.

Can I return it if I just don't like it?

Because every piece is made for one person from one photograph, there is no second customer for it, so change-of-mind returns are limited once it has been made. We will always talk to you though — write to us and explain, and we will do what we reasonably can.

The colours look different from my screen.

Screens emit light and canvas reflects it, so small differences in warmth and saturation are normal and expected. A large difference — a green cast, or skin gone orange — is a print fault, is covered, and we will remake it. Send a photograph and we will judge it fairly.

How long do refunds take?

We issue an approved refund within two business days. How long it takes to appear on your statement is up to your bank, usually five to ten business days.

My parcel never arrived.

Write to us with your order number. If the carrier confirms it is lost we remake and reship it — automatically if you took shipping protection, and case by case if you did not. We have not yet left a customer with nothing.

Your Photos & Privacy

What happens to the images you send us.

What do you do with my photographs?

Check them, prepare them and print them. That is the whole list. They are stored in a private bucket with no public link, opened only through time-limited signed URLs, and they are never published, sold, licensed, used in advertising or used to train anything. Full detail in the privacy policy.

How long do you keep my photos?

Up to 24 months, so an order can be remade or reprinted if something goes wrong, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner and we will — though we cannot reprint the order afterwards.

Will my photo appear on your website or social media?

No. Nothing you upload appears anywhere publicly unless you have separately told us in writing that we may use it.

Do you store my card details?

No, and we never see them. Card details go from your browser directly to our payment processor. All we receive back is whether the payment succeeded.

Can I get my data deleted?

Yes. Email us from the address on your account and we will delete your account, your saved addresses and your photographs. We may have to keep bare order records where tax law requires it. See the privacy policy.

Still have a question?

Write to us with your order number if you have one. A person reads every message and answers within one business day.
